COOKIE POLICY

As La Pivacci Dance Shoes (“La Pivacci”), we provide information regarding the types of cookies used on our website ( https://lapivacci.com ), the purposes of these cookies, and how to manage them to comply with the obligations under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies used to provide a better service and a functional online environment to website visitors. It also describes how personal data collected in accordance with KVKK is processed, and the users' legal rights and authorities.

What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a text file stored on the hard drive or in the browser folder when a website is visited. Cookies aim to make the service provided to website visitors faster and more functional. A personalized online environment is provided to the website visitor through cookies. Our visitors can set and change their preferences regarding cookie usage. Similarly, the visitor has the right to request the deletion of cookies.

Types of Cookies

Cookies can be classified based on the purpose they serve, the duration for which data is stored, and the sources from which they originate.

Cookies by Purpose

This classification by the purpose of cookie use includes strictly necessary cookies, preference cookies, statistical cookies, and marketing cookies.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are required for features like navigating the website and accessing secure areas of the site. For example, in e-commerce stores, these cookies allow items selected by the user to be retained for the next step, enabling the transaction to be completed. Cookies that retain items in the shopping cart in e-commerce sites are examples of strictly necessary cookies. These are generally first-party session cookies. Although consent is not required for these cookies, the reason for their use and necessity must be explained to the user.

Preference Cookies

These cookies allow the website to remember past choices (such as username, password, preferred language, etc.). Preference cookies, which enable automatic login to the website, are also known as functional cookies.

Statistical Cookies

Also known as performance cookies, statistical cookies provide anonymous, statistical data on website usage. Statistical cookies store information on how the user interacts with the website, such as pages visited and links clicked. These anonymous cookies are not used to identify the website user and aim to make the website more functional.

Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies allow advertisers to provide ads tailored to the user's interests. Statistical data of the ads encountered by the website user, as well as data obtained through marketing cookies, may be shared with other organizations or advertisers. These cookies can be stored permanently.

Cookies by Storage Duration

Based on the duration of data retention, cookies are divided into session cookies and persistent cookies. The difference between session cookies and persistent cookies is that session cookies provide temporary, real-time data.

Session Cookies

Session cookies provide data stored until the user closes the browser or the session ends. These are short-term cookies.

Persistent Cookies

Persistent cookies remain stored on the drive until they are deleted by the user or until their specified expiration date. Persistent cookies have a coded expiration date with a variable duration. According to the E-Privacy Directive, persistent cookies should not last longer than 12 months.

Cookies by Source

First-Party Cookies

As the name implies, first-party cookies are placed on the device directly by the website visited.

Third-Party Cookies

Third-party cookies are placed on the device by a party other than the website visited, such as advertisers or analytics systems.
